Athens October 2008, Update
I just dropped some nightly impressions right in here for my girl back at home. Just snapshot with my mobile at night, which is quite challenging... ;-)

Wonderful days Flüelen, Switzerland
Again in Switzerland for a business trip. Besides I found some time for taking some pictures and what to say than awesome? Not to forget still a busines trip...
Busines trip is the word! I finally found my laptop-trolley/bagpack. I tought I need to bye the 450,- Victorynox deluxe-bagpack, but I was luckily wrong...
Next week three days to Athens and some weeks later 5 days Doha. Maybe I´ll go wakeboarding in Doha... :-)

Gerlitzen September 08
We´ve been to Gerlitzen/Carinthia the last days of September for hiking and relaxing.
Initially it was planned to have our MTBs and my RC plane with us, but temperatures around +2°C, +20km/h of wind and this slight rain-/snowshowers dropped our plans. Instead only hiking and even more relaxing.
The hotel "Hotel Feuerberg" was a cozy place with lots of space for doing nothing. The spa was great and inspiring all senses. It´s for sure recommendable! :-)
As usual some impressions....

Autumn in Zurich
I´ve been to Zurich this week and there was no rain for the first time!
Ok, actually there was rain as usual, but after my appointment it turned out to be a sunny autumn day there.
Autumn is a header: Where´s the golden autumn this year? All over sudden temperatures comparable to November.
The flight was ok but delays of 30-60mins, nevertheless we got sandwiches respectively snacks (1:0 Austrian Arrows as we got salmon salad instead of beef sandwich :-) )
I somehow love Switzerland since Carina worked there...
Well, next month Athens for a meeting, which I´m quite curious for.
I´ve already been to Athens for six hours, captured at the business lodge on the airport.

Recently August (the last days of August)
Not that much in August.
Been to the austrian wakeboarding nationals, heavy rain, cold, windy. Nothing new in regards to the showed performance there. Dom in front of Storchi and Watti, that´s for the open men. Open women: guess what, Lisa G. is still in the house for the fifth(?) time in a row.
Carina and me had been to Bikepark Semmering and honestly I was a bit surprised about the bad conditions there and my bad performance. Further my bike was on it´s limit, what became to me the biggest surprise. One positive surprise was only Carina who rode the freeride-course without any casualties and quite fast too...
That´s for the sports. Another remarkable issue was the fuel consumption of my car which dramatically got lower. Don´t be scared of another "my car is the best and lowest and most pimped"-post, I won´t.
I just want to remark 4,2l per 100km! :-)
That is remarkable as my car is an estate with +1500kg and almost all gimmicks and gadgets a new car comes with (except navi).

Currently Carina and me are planning our winter 08/09 trip to Asia.
Get jealous because Kuala Lumpur, Bali and Lombok are the destinations so far.
We just booked our flights with Qatar Airways which were quite cheap. The flight itself got even cheaper after adding a 4 nights stopover in KUL. :-)
We did not book the hotels so far as we´d like to wait for Sept. 15 as accor will present it´s new loyalty program which could possibly make things really cheap for members.
In case the accor program is not as cheap/various as expected we´d take the Starwood-Hotels group.
The Starwood-option is even more interesting as we´d get SPG-points which can be directly transfered 1:1 to Emirates´ skywards miles.
Ok, winter 08/09 is far away so we will have an autumn break in Corinthia, Lake Ossiach.
Further the regular vacation around christmas, but nothing planned for that time so far.

Ich finde ordentliche Blogs müssen mit einer standesgemäßen Testnachricht oder ähnlichem beginnen. Schon alleine um die Funktionsweise zu testen sehr ratsam :-)
